{dream board} pretty in pink
When having the logo for Gluten Free Beauty designed I looked at so many shades of pink before selecting the one that was just right. To me it’s a color that evokes positive, fun, playful, stylish energy!

{dream board} hematite
Hematite may seem out of place in a fashionista’s jewelry box, as it is more often worn for its magnetic and rumored metaphysical properties. In terms of the latter, hematite is said to protect those who wear it from lower or negative energies. And one of my favorite acupuncturists would place the stones in my hands and near my legs and feet during sessions. So I’ll admit, these more spiritual properties are what truly intrigue me about this dark, shiny stone. But I’m also not the type to wear a stone purely for purpose, it should also look cute at least

{dream board} indigo princess
Fickle as I am, my love affair with the color indigo never seems to dwindle. Paired with this canary red dress, it might even help to kindle the brazen cowgirl deep inside me from my days in Texas long ago. And what better a clutch to take with me when I’m dressed up and rearin’ to go!

{dream board} shiny sequins
Just as I adore tulle and pink and all things girlie, I love shimmery, shiny sequins! Nothing says “look out boys!” like knowing that you’re covered in light-reflecting, party-inducing sequins! Here are just a few of the shiny pieces that I’ve got my eye on, though considering my life isn’t all cocktail parties and New Year’s Eve celebrations, I think I’ll most likely go for the uber inexpensive Forever 21 sequin skirt (no. 5) or the super fly BCBG clutch whose sequins can be brushed aside to disply their gold or silver sides (LOVE all things reversible!).

{dream board} lady like
Nothing makes you feel chic like a little touch of silk. I love that this simple-yet-exciting blouse can be paired casually with jeans on the weekends, or with a high-waisted skirt for the work day, or even paired untucked with a mini for an evening out!
For this look I opted for this long, yet bold ocre skirt which is high-waisted for shirt tucking. Paired with touches of green and gold it’s dress and casual, simple and chic, fabulous and understated!
1. 125th Street Blouse by Anthropologie 2. Marc by Marc Jacobs “Hopper” Skirt 3. Frye’s ”Maya” Slingback Pump 4. Lovely Luxe Jewels’ Briolette Earrings
{dream board} such a tulle
I may have attempted ballet when I was young purely for the tutu, but thank goodness these days you can still wear sheer, fluffly, fabulous tule without having to twirl on your toes! Here are just a few of my favorite ways to wear tulle without the tutu.
1. BCBG Backless Dress 2. Free People Sheer Mesh Skirt 3. Badgley Mischka “Dusk” D’Orsay Pumps 4. Forever21 Bow Waist Tulle Skirt 5. Tulle Skirt from Delia’s
{dream board} SO faux
I’m sure that I am not yet accustomed to living near the beach, instead of in the mountains. A point made highly evident by my recent obsession with (cruelty-free) faux fur for Fall.
Of course I’m still day dreaming of Free People’s Sherpa Jacket, but a vest might in fact be better for the coast’s warmer weather. Now however do I choose?

{dream board} out of the ordinary
Have you ever had to borrow a friend’s clothes and despite a major gap between your style, and her’s, you find yourself looking quite good in something you would have never bought? Since most of us stay true to our own styles and have specific stores we tend to frequent, I find it’s good to mix it up on occasion and score some amazing pieces that might just mix up your wardrobe.
Take Banana Republic’s Turnlock Crossbody Purse, it’s a great take on the Chanel crossbody purse that many major celebs have been spotted with and with a price that’s incredibly affordable. And then there’s the En Creme Colorblock Dress that I found in the Juniors’ section at Nordstrom which is absolutely perfect for day, night, weekends, whatever! And I think we can all appreciate the loose, flowy fits of the Free People Rainbow Sorbet Swing Dress and Swiss Dots Top we found at Macy’s and Nordstrom for those days we feel a bit less than fabulous.
1. Delia’s Swiss Dot Zip-Front Top 2. Lucca Coutue Knit Mini Swing Skirt at Urban Outfitters 3. Banana Republic Monogram Ribbon Turnlock Cross-Body Purse 4. En Creme Colorblock Dress from Nordstrom’s Juniors Dept. 5. Free People Rainbow Sorbet Dress at Macy’s
{dream board} sweater weather
Something about the idea of strolling the beach while donning a cold weather sweater has always made me a bit warm and fuzzy inside. But selecting the perfect Winter sweater is no easy task. First you must decide whether you are more comfortable in cruelty-free fabrics, like this off the shoulder sweater by LinQ which is made of bamboo, or if you’re a cashmere girl through and through.
Next, and this is a big one, be careful of the fit. Sweaters do have a natural tendency to look quite unflattering. That’s why I love pieces like J. Crew’s Double Breasted Sweater Jacket, as it has more structure to it, so not only will it look better on, but it will also be a bit dressier as it’s a bit more polished of a look. Be careful of sweathers that have a general t-shirt shape, as these can be quite unflattering to the midsection. Of course, pieces like J. Crew’s Goldmine Sweater can be tucked into a high-waisted skirt, which would be uber-flattering!
